Once former President of India Abdul Kalam asked some school children "What is India of their dream". One little girl raised her hand and said very simple words "India should be more developed". Kalam was very impressed with this answer. India should be more developed, but developed in all areas be it social, economic, cultural, science, technology, defense, infrastructure, intelligence, education. Holistic development of nation is dream for my nation.
In this context I am going to write here an essay written by a class V child, which impressed me a lot. In simplest language he visualized a great India. Here it goes
My father stays in a town in Germany. Every summer vacation I go there. It is a very neat and clean place and people there are wonderful.
The best thing about the people is that they keep their home as well as their surroundings neat.
My Dream India is also a very neat and clean place with not even a small piece of paper on roads and the people of my Dream India take the responsibility of cleaning their homes as well as their surroundings and thus keeping their country clean.
In my Dream India, I don't want to see small children with their small hands out begging for a small coin. Why can't everybody go to school and study like me?
In my Dream India everybody has enough food to eat, and there is no scarcity of food.
In my Dream India I don't want to see people dying on roads through bullets from guns of cruel terrorists. I want all of us to live in peace.
I wish my dream comes true and my country India becomes a good place to live in.
In short and sweet essay the child has visualized a great empowered nation
Well, I could write my own thoughts in a bit more detail but may be that will be for some other day. In the this context following words written over 100 years from the greatest poet of modern world are still applicable

Where the mind is without
fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection:
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is lead forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action —
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
